It's a joint effort between the bike cooperative (the ReCYCLEry) and Spoke N Revolutions, a youth cycling team that just completed an 1800 mile journey from Mobile, AL to Niagara Falls, NY along the Underground Railroad route. First teens ever to complete the entire route, all on recycled bikes! (http://snr.chcpact.org/) We're aiming for Oct 2011 -- any tips? We're hoping to hand out helmets and lights too. The winter rides have been a blast with about a dozen pre-schoolers leading the rides and teaching their parents the true meaning of anarchy! It will be the 3rd Saturday morning each month. Our first two planned rides are: Sat. march 20, gather 9 AM for 9:30 AM departure, ride til 10:30 AM. My husband and I don't have kids, but we love riding our delta trikes and having picnics and breaks in the parks. I only wish that Minneapolis had 'kidical' mass rides. I think they would be much more pleasant to ride in than the Critical Mass rides (which after trying to ride them twice, they go way to fast and have agressive riders).
